ILKEEN, specializing in the production of photography and video equipment, was founded in Tehran in 2008. However, the brand’s founding story dates back to 2001, when Hadi Habibi, one of ILKEEN’s talented and capable founders and its CEO, entered the business of importing photography equipment through his father-in-law, or perhaps many years earlier, in his grandfather’s shoemaking workshop in his hometown of Tabriz.

BIRTH
It was in his grandfather’s workshop that Hadi, a teenager, first came into contact with the business world and learned from his grandfather that if he wanted to start a business one day, he should personally promote his products to customers in order to gain their respect for them and also for his business.
Young Habibi’s next experience and official entry into the world of entrepreneurship took place in 1996 when he was just 18 years old. At that time, the courageous Hadi founded Datis Advertising Company in Tabriz and engaged in computer design of promotional products, relying on his creative mind and high skills and knowledge in using computers, which were still considered a new technology in Iran.
